After a long and successful career with the Ultimate Fighting Championship it seems that former UFC fighter and professional trash talker Nate Diaz has taken it upon himself to explore and dominate other avenues in his life. It’s no question he has contributed great fights for fans and lots of revenue for the promotion, but in a shocking twist he now looks to contribute in the field of physics after accepting a full academic scholarship to study quantum mechanics at Caltech.
The former UFC Lightweight Championship Contender had this to say about the ordeal outside a local dispensary:
“You see the foundational elegance of quantum mechanics lies in its reputation of classical determinism, homie. When I first encountered the Schrödinger equation, it wasn’t merely a mathematical formalism – it was a metaphysical blow to the Newtonian worldview, dog. The duality of wave-particle behaviour resonates with my own fighting philosophy: one must embody both unpredictability and precision, know what I’m sayin’?”
Outside of the UFC Nate Diaz also realizes success via his GAME UP Nutrition Wellness Company. They sell mostly CBD infused products and supplements and he feels this is one giant foot in the door as the stresses of STEM programs can take a big toll on mental wellness that the products could help or alleviate.
However, Nate Diaz expressed some disappointment with the institutions code of conduct and policies about smoking indoors by saying:
“This is sum bullsh*t.”
Regardless, Nate Diaz is no stranger to adversity and challenging authority and I wish him well in his pursuit of education and leading the field of physics beyond its current discoveries.
